Tampa, Florida – The Tampa Police Department says a security guard was shot while attempting to remove a crowd of people from a property.

The Tampa Police Department announced it is investigating a shooting that injured a man on Tuesday night.

According to TPD, officers responded to the 600 block of North Ashley Drive for a report of shots fired around 10:45 p.m. on December 31, 2024.

Authorities say security was in the process of removing a crowd of people from the property when a security guard was shot. A victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police say the victim is in his late 30s. Police have not provided a suspect description.
