Seattle Police looking for woman who randomly stabbed a victim on South Jackson Street

Seattle, Washington – The Seattle Police Department says a 22-year-old man was stabbed in an unprovoked attack in downtown Seattle on Sunday evening.

According to SPD, officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 1200 block of South Jackson Street around 6:39 p.m. At the scene, officers found a male victim suffering from a stab wound to the lower back.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition. According to police, witnesses reported that a female suspect approached the victim, punched at him, and stabbed him without warning.

Following the stabbing, the suspect fled on foot. Officers reportedly recovered the knife at the scene, but the suspect remains at large.

SPD says the suspect is described as a Hispanic woman who was wearing a black shirt and carrying a brown bag. Anyone with information is asked to call the Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
