The Seattle Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in Cherry Hill on Sunday night. Around 9:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of 18th Avenue and East Jefferson Street. At the scene, officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. According to SPD, the victim was driving westbound on East Jefferson Street past 21st Avenue when shots were fired. Passengers in the vehicle informed police they believed the vehicle struck something in the road until they realized the driver had been shot.
