The Seattle Police Department is investigating a deadly stabbing as well as a robbery shooting. SPD reports that a man was shot during a robbery early Saturday morning. Around 11:43 a.m., SPD officers responded to a person shot near the intersection of 12th Avenue South and South King Street.
At the scene, officers found an adult male with a graze wound to the arm. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center. SPD says the victim claimed he was walking on the sidewalk when a male suspect grabbed cash from his hand and walked away. When the victim pursued the suspect, the male suspect pulled out a gun and fired one round at the victim.
No one is in custody at this time. Around 5:48 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the Capitol Hill light-rail station. At the scene, SPD officers found a 37-year-old male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. The victim succumbed to his injuries. SPD says the male suspect fled the scene after the stabbing. The suspect has not been identified.
