The Seattle Police Department announced in a media release that it had arrested three suspects allegedly involved in a series of home invasion robberies. SPD says the suspects were armed with handguns and rifles during one robbery in the Lake City neighborhood. They are accused of entering the victim’s home, waking them up, and demanding the victims unlock electronic devices found in the residence.
Seattle Police Robbery detectives and Mountlake Terrace Police Department detectives have been investigating similar robberies over the past several months. All three suspects were taken into custody today during a joint arrest operation with Seattle SWAT and North Sound Metro SWAT. A firearm was recovered during one of the arrests.
The names of the suspects are not being released at this time. SPD says a 21-year-old man was booked into the King County Jail for investigation for robbery. A 20-year-old man was booked for robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm. A 27-year-old was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for robbery.
