Seattle Police arrest suspect in homicide on Sand Point Way Northeast

The Seattle Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a homicide on August 13 in the 7200 block of Sand Point Way Northeast. SPD reports that officers responded to the aforementioned location around 2:43 p.m. on August 13 for a shooting.

At the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. SPD said that two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

On August 17, 2024, SPD confirmed that homicide detectives had arrested a 36-year-old man in connection to the fatal shooting. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Murder 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 1st Degree.
