The Seattle Police Department has announced an arrest in connection to 14 counts of indecent exposure. According to an SPD media release, detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit arrested a 34-year-old man in Lake Forest Park on Thursday morning. SPD says the first known incident happened in the Magnolia neighborhood on January 2, 2024.
Patrol officers responded to a report of a male who had exposed himself to two juvenile girls near the intersection of 28th Avenue West and West Smith Street. Over several weeks, police received multiple reports of a white male in his 30s or 40s approaching children, asking for directions, and exposing himself to them.
The investigation was assigned to the Sexual Assault Unit. Detectives say they caught a break when the suspect’s vehicle was caught on security cameras in late February. After identifying the suspect, detectives arrested him and carried out a search warrant on his residence. Detectives say the clothing seen in the security footage was found in the home.
The suspect was booked on multiple counts of indecent exposure and communicating with a minor for immoral purposes.
