Today, the Savannah Police Department announced it was investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on May 31. SPD says the shooting at 40th Street and Florence Avenue left one man with non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 8:15 p.m., officers responded to a Shot Spotter alert at the aforementioned location. At the scene, responding officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the Memorial Health University Center.
SPD says the man is currently in stable condition. No other details are available at this time. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 912-234-2020.
