Sarasota Police arrest 14-year-old Antorri Smith for attempted murder in Tuesday morning shooting

A 14-year-old has been arrested in connection to a shooting in North Sarasota on Tuesday morning. The Sarasota Police Department reports that its officers responded to a shooting around 5 a.m. in the 1800 block of 29th Street.

At the scene, officers found a juvenile victim suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Under Marsy’s Law, the victim’s identity is being withheld.

14-year-old Antorri Smith was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder with a Firearm. 15-year-old Kaylon William was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell within 1,000 Feet of a Church and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

36-year-old Fatima Williams was arrested and charged with Child Neglect, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Sell within 1,000 Feet of a Church, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
