Santa Fe Police searching for Juan Uribe-Torres in shooting on Calle Pacifica

The Santa Fe Police Department is currently searching for 29-year-old Juan Uribe-Torres in connection to a shooting on Calle Pacifica. SFPD reports that its officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 2400 block of Calle Pacifica around 4 a.m. on October 7, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition. SFPD’s Criminal Investigations Section responded to investigate the shooting.

Detectives say they identified Uribe-Torres as the shooter in the case. An arrest warrant has been obtained for Attempt to Commit a Felony to wit; Murder, and three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

SFPD confirms that Uribe-Torres is not in custody at this time. He has a criminal history that includes arrests for Breaking and Entering, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
