A person is dead following a shooting in the 1900 block of Mission Street in San Francisco, California. The San Francisco Police Department says its officers responded to the aforementioned location regarding a shooting around 12:17 a.m. on July 9, 2024.

Officers were told that several callers reported hearing gunshots and what sounded like a vehicle collision. At the scene, officers found a collision that involved a vehicle and several unoccupied parked cars.

Officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite receiving medical aid, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Officers were informed that there were possibly two other victims.

SFPD says one victim was evaluated for possible injuries at an area hospital. The second victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. SFPD’s Homicide Unit responded to investigate the fatal shooting.
