The San Francisco Police Department is investigating a homicide on Dakota Street. Around 6:02 a.m. on March 17, 2024, SFPD Bayview Station officers responded to the 100 block of Dakota Street for a report of an unconscious female adult lying on the ground.

At the scene, responding officers encountered medics. The medics pronounced the victim deceased. SFPD Homicide Detail Detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
