According to a press release from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, two people were injured during a fight that resulted in a shooting and stabbing in the East County. Police say deputies from the Lakeside Sheriff’s Substation responded to reports of a shooting in the 12000 block of Woodside Avenue on November 25 just before 7:30 PM.

Upon arrival, deputies located a man with a gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. A 16-year-old boy was found with a stab wound. The 16-year-old was taken to a hospital, treated, and released. Police say a male juvenile was taken into custody and booked into Juvenile Hall for the stabbing. The shooting suspect is still at large.
