The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office said the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station is investigating a stabbing. The incident happened on Friday, December 22, 2023 just after 5 p.m. in the 1200 block of San Elijo Road. Once deputies reached the scene, they found a woman with stab wounds.

The victim informed deputies that she was stabbed by her 27-year-old daughter. With help from ASTREA, San Marcos Deputies were able to locate the suspect on a nearby hiking trail. Anzy McWha was apprehended and booked into the Vista Detention Facility for assault.

The victim was transported to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
