The Salem Police Department has announced two arrests in connection to a shooting in July. SPD reports that officers responded to a report of an injured man in the 2000 block of Lancaster Drive Northeast on July 9, 2024.
At the scene, responding officers found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital. The 32-year-old victim, Allen Michael Harmon, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
SPD says a verbal encounter occurred between the victim and two men in the parking lot of the shopping center. Gunshots were fired by one of the male suspects before both men fled on foot.
Around 1 a.m. on October 3, 2024, two suspects were found in River Road Park at 3045 River Road Northeast. 33-year-old FD Tari and 25-year-old Teno Epone were taken into custody without incident.
A gun was seized. Police say Tari had three outstanding warrants. He was also arrested for Attempted Murder, Assault, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Epone was lodged on two existing warrants.
He is also charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Giving False Information to a Police Officer.
