The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a suspect in relation to a double shooting on Tuolumne Drive. Around 8:20 p.m. on December 1, 2023, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies with the East Patrol Division responded to the scene of a shooting near an apartment complex in the 9200 block of Tuolumne Drive.

At the scene, deputies found a female with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Authorities later learned that an adult male suffered from life-threatening gunshot wounds in the shooting. Detectives assumed control of the investigation, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence. Detectives say they determined that both victims were shot by two suspects.

On December 19, 2023, detectives with the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau apprehended Anthony Gibbs in connection to the shooting. The second suspect has not been identified and remains at large.
