The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a double shooting in the City of Zwolle on June 7. SPSO reports that the Zwolle Police Department and SPSO deputies responded to Magnolia Street for a shooting around 1:30 p.m. on June 7, 2024.
At the scene, deputies found a Chevrolet passenger car with multiple bullet holes as well as shell casings in the street. One victim was transported to Sabine Medical Center in serious condition. The victim was later flown to a Shreveport hospital.
A second victim arrived at the Florien Police Department before being transported to Byrd Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. SPSO says two vehicles were seized.
Detectives believe two vehicles stopped in the road at the intersection of Magnolia and Horton Streets. The two victims reportedly began shooting at each other from their vehicles. One vehicle was found on Magnolia Street while the other was found on Allens Loop off LA Highway 474 near Florien.
SPSO says there were other people in both vehicles at the time of the shooting.
