The Roy City Police Department was involved in an officer-involved shooting around 7:19 p.m. on August 17, 2024. RCPD reports that its officers were involved in an officer-involved shooting in the area of 2775 West 5650 South.

A male suspect was struck by gunfire and transported to an area hospital. RCPD confirms that no officers were injured during the shooting. The case will be turned over to the Weber County Attorney’s Office for investigation.

The suspect’s condition is not known at this time.
