Ronald Thomas Stokes arrested after dog left to die in hot car at Walmart

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man who left his dog to die in a hot car at a local Walmart. BCSO reports that Patrol Unit deputies and Animal Control Enforcement apprehended Ronald Thomas Stokes earlier today.

Stokes was wanted on a warrant in connection to an Aggravated Cruelty to Animals charge. BCSO says a dog was found deceased in Stokes’ hot vehicle at the Harrison Road Walmart.

Stokes also had warrants for Driving Under the Influence, Driving Under the Influence Less Safe, Reckless Driving, and Open Container.
