Rocky Ford Police arrests two suspects in shooting on South 14th Street on Friday

The Rocky Ford Police Department has arrested two suspects in connection to a shooting on Friday. Around 12:45 a.m., RFPD officers responded to the 500 block of South 14th Street for possible gunshots.

At the scene, officers found an adult male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center and later transported to a metro area hospital.

RFPD says a search warrant was carried out at 511 South 14th Street Friday evening. As a result, Serina Salazar and Esteven Salazar were taken into custody and booked into the Brent County Jail.

Serina is charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree. Both charges pertain to Domestic Violence. Esteven is charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree.
