The Rocky Ford Police Department has arrested a man for allegedly shooting in the area of the 300 block of North 10th Street. RFPD reports that the Communications Center received a call about a man shooting a gun at the aforementioned location around 7:15 p.m. on July 19.

RFPD officers, Otero County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Colorado State Patrol officers responded to the area and contacted the suspect, 31-year-old John Jimenez. RFPD says a firearm and other evidence were recovered.

Jimenez was booked into the Bent County Jail on charges of Prohibited Use of a Weapon, Reckless Endangerment, Felony Menacing, Unlawfully Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Possession of Weapons by Previous Offender.
