A man has been arrested on active warrants in Rocky Ford. The Rocky Ford Police reports that RFPD officers carried out a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Elm Avenue for an expired temporary registration.
RFPD says the driver did not provide a driver’s license or any form of identification. It is alleged that the driver provided false identifying information to officers. RFPD identified the driver as 21-year-old Carlos Sandoval.
Sandoval was arrested on three active warrants. The most serious was a nationwide extradition warrant for felony eluding. Sandoval was transported to the Rocky Ford Police Department and charged with Failed to Present Insurance upon Request, Drove Motor Vehicle when License under Restraint, Displayed Expired Temporary Permit, and False Reporting of Identifying Information.
After being transported to AVRMC for medical clearance, Sandoval was booked into the Bent County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
