The Rochester Police Department has announced an arrest of a woman who allegedly hid her husband’s body to collect his social security checks. RPD reports that officers found 66-year-old Kenneth Crisman deceased in the basement of his residence at 128 Bryan Street on September 4, 2023.

RPD’s Homicide Investigators say that Crisman died in late 2022 or early 2023 as a result of a fentanyl overdose. Following his death, his wife, 62-year-old Wendy Stone, and her son, 24-year-old Cody James Stone, allegedly concealed his body.

Investigators allege that Wendy Stone had been collecting social security payments belonging to Crisman that would’ve ended upon his death. Wendy Stone has been arrested for Aggravated Identity Theft.

On Thursday morning, an indictment was unsealed charging Wendy Stone and her son with Unlawful Concealment of a Corpse.
