Update – RCSO has confirmed the suspect has been arrested.
Original – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Lumberton man who is wanted for murder. According to RCSO, deputies responded to the 900 block of Beam Road in Lumberton regarding an individual shot around 12:46 p.m. on April 8, 2024. The victim, 33-year-old Brandigan L. Hunt, was found deceased inside a vehicle.
Detectives say the murder occurred at 1038 Holly Swamp Church Road. Authorities are looking for 20-year-old Chase Titus Locklear who is wanted on charges of first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle inflicting serious bodily injury, assault by pointing a gun, and communicating threats.
The murder is being investigated by the RCSO Homicide and Criminal Investigations Divisions. Anyone with information about Locklear’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 910-671-3170.
