On March 31, 2024, RCSO deputies and investigators responded to Creek Run Road in Maxton in reference to a two-year-old boy who had been abducted from a family member’s home.

2-year-old Tacoma K. Hunt was found hours after being abducted. 36-year-old Earl F. Locklear was apprehended following a brief foot pursuit in the area of Wild Plum Road. He is charged with Second Degree Kidnapping, Felonious Restraint, Abduction of a Child, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Resisting a Public Officer, and Injury to Personal Property.
