The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office says it has arrested two suspects in connection to the murder of 18-year-old Isaac Gonzalez of Coachella. RCSO reports that 18-year-old Fabian Diaz and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested in the case.

Police say Diaz was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for Murder, Robbery, and Conspiracy. The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall for Murder, Robbery, and Conspiracy. The juvenile’s name is not being released due to his age.

Deputies with the Thermal Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of shots fired in the 84900 block of Calle Rojo in Coachella around 10:34 p.m. on August 28, 2024. Authorities say an 18-year-old victim, Isaac Gonzalez, was found in the roadway suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
