Riverside County Sheriff’s Office arrests attempted murder suspect Michael Losoya

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office announced that Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested an attempted murder suspect. Deputies responded to the 32000 block of Riverside Drive in Lake Elsinore for an assault with a deadly weapon around 10:45 p.m. on July 3, 2024.

The victim informed authorities that they were being attacked with a knife by an adult male and sustained injuries to the head. Authorities identified the suspect as 41-year-old Michael Losoya.

The suspect was located a short distance away and was promptly taken into custody. The victim was evaluated at the scene but refused additional treatment. Losoya was booked on charges of Attempted Murder and Resisting Arrest.
