Riverside County Sheriff’s Office arrests 24-year-old Corona man for sexual assault of young boy

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office announced it arrested one man for lewd acts against a minor and that it is searching for another. RCSO reports that the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station began investigating allegations of lewd acts against a minor in October 2024.

Investigators say two separate adult males were sexually exploiting a male juvenile victim. The juvenile victim was being solicited via social media and meeting two unknown adult males, according to authorities.

Investigators say they identified one of the suspects as 24-year-old Joel Rikardo Medina of Corona. On November 5, 2024, investigators say they were informed that Medina had contacted the victim and requested to meet.

Authorities took Median into custody in the 100 block of McKinley Street in Corona without incident. He has been booked on several counts of Lewd Acts Against a Minor and Sexual Assault of a Minor.

Investigators say they are still working to identify the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Shamhart at 951-272-5600.
