The Plano Police Department has arrested a ride-share employee for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. PPD reports that 31-year-old Robert Johnson III of Garland was arrested on July 15 following an investigation by the Special Victims Unit.

Around 2 p.m. on July 9, 2024, Johnson allegedly picked up an unaccompanied minor in Frisco, Texas. It is alleged that Johnson pulled off the road in the 4200 block of Legacy Drive where he sexually assaulted the 12-year-old victim.

The following day, the victim told their mother about the assault. A police report was filed. On July 12, Honorable Judge McGraw found there was sufficient probable cause to issue a warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child.
