Redding Police arrest woman found unconscious in running vehicle with three juveniles

A 35-year-old woman has been arrested after being found unconscious in a running vehicle with three young female juveniles. The Redding Police Department reports that officers responded to a report of a vehicle whose driver was unconscious at a stop sign near the intersection of Creekside Street and Sacramento Drive.

At the scene, officers found the driver, 35-year-old Katie Brooks, inside the running vehicle unconscious. RPD reports that there were three young female juveniles in the vehicle as well.

Officers helped Brooks out of the vehicle and reportedly found her to be extremely intoxicated. Following a Driving Under the Influence investigation, RPD officers arrested Brooks for Driving Under the Influence of an Alcoholic Beverage.

RPD says her blood alcohol level was over four times the level limit. The kids in the car were found to be her daughters. Brooks was booked into the Shasta County Jail on three counts of Felony Child Endangerment and one count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
