The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 32-year-old Hessmer man for allegedly damaging a victim’s vehicle. RPSO reports that its patrol deputies responded to the 100 block of Philadelphia Road for a report of criminal damage on June 26, 2024.
At the scene, deputies found a silver car belonging to the victim with expensive damage to the passenger windows and the right side of the front windshield. Tioga Substation detectives were assigned to the case.
RPSO says the detectives spoke to the victim and received evidence that led them to identify 32-year-old Dylan Paul Thibodeaux as the suspect in the case. The estimate of the damage constituted a felony.
Detectives say they were able to establish probable cause for a warrant to be obtained for Simple Criminal Damage to Property > $1000 > $50,000 (Felony). On July 24, 2024, Thibodeaux was taken into custody at the Rapides Parish Courthouse on an outstanding warrant.
Bond was set at $20,000 and Thibodeaux bonded out the following day. Detectives say more arrests could be made. No other details are available at this time.
