Rapides Parish, Louisiana – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office says Corrections Security Investigators received a complaint of possible criminal sexual conduct involving a Deputy Sheriff assigned to the Inmate Work Crews.

According to RPSO, the initial report says the complaint was made of inappropriate sexual contact between an inmate and a deputy. Authorities have identified the deputy as 60-year-old Steven D. Littleton of Pineville, Louisiana.

Authorities say sufficient probable cause was established that supported the initial allegations. Warrants for Littleton’s arrest were obtained.

On January 3, 2025, Littleton was taken into custody and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on two counts of Sexual Battery and two counts of Malfeasance in Office Sexual Conduct.

Littleton is currently being held on a $40,000. He was a deputy with RPSO since 2012 but has been terminated.
