In West Virginia, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office announced it was investigating a stabbing. According to a press release from the Sheriff of Randolph County, deputies and West Virginia State Police responded to Mill Creek for a reported stabbing on December 17, 2023.

Upon arrival, authorities detained a male suspect. Randolph County Emergency Medical Services and the Mill Creek Fire Department responded to the scene where they rendered aid to the male suspect and a female victim. Both sustained stab wounds as a result of the incident.

The male and female were transported to a medical facility for evaluation and treatment. Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation.
