The Raleigh Police Department has announced an arrest in a homicide on February 24, 2024. According to a media release from RPD, officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 5400 block of Rock Quarry Road around 1:11 p.m. on February 24, 2024. At the scene, officers found 28-year-old Steven Andrea Jones II suffering from a single gunshot wound.

Jones was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Now, RPD announced the arrest of 29-year-old Montravius Malik Montgomery who is charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
