The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office has announced that detectives are investigating a middle school teacher for sexual assault. In late November, detectives were alerted to reported allegations of an inappropriate relationship between a 47-year-old male teacher and a student at a Pueblo West area middle school.
On Wednesday, a search warrant was sought and executed by sheriff’s detectives. The teacher in question has been placed on administrative leave by District 70 officials. Immediate termination has been recommended.
No arrests have been made at this time. No further details are available. Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Lt. Bethany Solano at 719-583-6420.
