The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 34-year-old man in connection to a double stabbing this morning at a tavern in Pueblo West. According to a news release from PCSO, David Baloun was arrested for first-degree assault and second-degree assault after being located near Joe Martinez Boulevard and South Dante Drive.
Baloun was booked into the Pueblo County Jail. Deputies responded to Jimmy’s Tavern at 324 South McCulloch Boulevard at approximately 1:40 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. At the scene, deputies learned that a 22-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman had been stabbed following an altercation outside the business.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The man had serious injuries while the female victim had minor injuries. Deputies learned that Baloun had been asked to leave the bar. As other patrons were trying to get him to leave, a physical altercation occurred outside the business leading to the stabbings.
