The Prince William County Police Department reports that it is investigating a fatal shooting at 2250 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge. PWCPD says its officers responded to the commuter lot at the location around 10:42 p.m. on November 2 to investigate a shooting.

At the scene, officers reportedly found a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital where he later passed away.

Authorities allege that the accused and the victim were involved in an altercation that escalated. At some point, there was a struggle over a firearm and the victim was shot. Detectives say the suspect was apprehended later in the day at a residence in Vienna.

PWCPD says 22-year-old Christian Geiger is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter. Geiger is currently being held without bond. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Jeffrey Kojo Owusu.
