Update – PGPD has identified the victim in the fatal shooting in the 5600 block of Regency Park Court in Suitland as 24-year-old Sean Bethea of Washington DC. The victim was found fatally shot around 9:40 p.m. on June 18, 2024. No one is in custody at this time.

Original – The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting on Tuesday night. PGPD reports that its officers responded to the 5600 block of Regency Park Ct around 9:40 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, responding officers found an adult male victim in a stairwell suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

PGPD detectives are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting and the motive. No other details are available at this time.
