The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting at Potomac High School. PGPD reports that it is currently working on some promising leads in an attempt to identify the suspect.
PGPD has a great belief that the suspect will be brought to justice. The suspect was watching a football game before a dispute that led to the shooting. PGPD urges the shooter to turn themselves in today.
A 5-year-old is in the hospital receiving treatment. The incident happened around 11:20 a.m. during a football game around seven-year-olds. Two individuals in the stands reportedly became involved in a verbal altercation.
It is believed the two individuals knew one another. One person produced a gun and shot the other individual. A five-year-old victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The adult male was pronounced deceased.
The game was meant to raise funds for an attendee who was facing something life-threatening for himself.
