Prince George’s County Police searching for woman connected to seven robberies and thefts

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit is searching for a female suspect involved in multiple robberies and thefts at convenience stores. Authorities say the woman is currently linked to seven robberies and thefts throughout the county and similar crimes in Anne Arundel County and Fairfax County.

The most recent robbery occurred on April 30, 2024 in the 4700 block of Crain Highway. A uniformed Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Deputy entered the store and learned that a robbery was in progress.

The suspect fled the store and attempted to get into the passenger side of a vehicle. The deputy attempted to apprehend the suspect. The driver put the vehicle into gear and accelerated at a high rate of speed leading to the deputy being dragged for a short distance.

The deputy is expected to make a full recovery. PGCPD has identified the driver as Andrew Franklin who was arrested on May 1, 2024. Franklin is charged with Robbery, Assault, and related charges. Anyone with information should call 301-516-2830 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
