The Prince George’s County Police Department announced it is investigating a fatal shooting at approximately 11:20 p.m. in the 2900 block of Ritchie Road. At the scene, officers located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

According to the preliminary investigation, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. Authorities are working to identify a suspect or suspects in the case as well as a motive. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.
