The Prescott Police Department has announced that its officers were involved in an officer-involved shooting over the week. PPD says officers responded to a home in the 1900 block of Sycamore Drive to try to locate a suspect from a prior investigation around 7 p.m. on June 8, 2024.
At the scene, officers located the suspect outside the residence. An altercation occurred leading to an officer using lethal force. The subject was treated at the scene before being transported to an area hospital.
The subject was flown to a Phoenix area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. No other details are available at this time.
