The Portland Police Bureau announced it was investigating a fatal shooting from early this morning. Around 12:10 a.m. on December 20, 2023, Central Precinct officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of Northwest Trinity Place. Once officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with at least one gunshot wound.

Despite officers providing life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Portland Police Homicide detectives responded to assume control of the situation. During the investigation, a portion of NW Trinity Place will be closed.
