The Portland Police Bureau has announced an arrest in connection to an alleged sex abuse case at a Southeast Portland grocery store. PPB reports says Central Precinct officers responded to reports of sexual abuse at a grocery store in the 3800 block of Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard.
At the scene, officers determined that an adult male had allegedly inappropriately touched a 10-year-old girl before fleeing the store. Around 7:25 p.m. on July 30, 2024, a community member called 911 to report the accused’s location.
Officers responded to the location and arrested 42-year-old Adam M. Caldwell who was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on a charge of Sex Abuse in the Third Degree.
