The Port Arthur Police Department said in a social media post that it is searching for a suspect who fatally shot a clerk during a robbery.

PAPD reports that its officers responded to a local business in the 700 block of West Gulfway Drive around 8:20 p.m. on December 2, 2024. Police say officers found the clerk suffering from a gunshot wound sustained during a robbery.

The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. PAPD says the surveillance footage revealed that the suspect entered the business armed with a weapon, brutally shot the clerk, and fled from the scene.
