Pomona, California – The Pomona Police Department said in a social media statement that its officers were involved in an officer-involved shooting on Monday night.
According to PPD, an officer-involved shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Nimbus Court after officers responded to a call about a man with a gun around 10:07 p.m. on Monday.
Police confirm that no officers were injured during the incident. PPD says the suspect was pronounced deceased and a firearm was recovered at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office and the District Attorney’s Office are responding to handle the investigation. Police are not providing any other details at this time.
