Sheriff Grady Judd with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was at the scene of an animal cruelty investigation in Frostproof earlier this evening with the PCSO Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit. Authorities say there were approximately 100 cats and 100 chickens and ducks inside a mobile home, according to preliminary information.

Two women resided in the mobile home in what authorities are calling a hoarder situation. The investigation is in the early stages. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office expects to release more information on Friday, December 22, 2023.
