According to a CPD social media post, officers were flagged down for an unconscious person in the road near 4th Street Northwest and Preston Avenue around 9:20 p.m. on March 11, 2025.
Police say the subject had been involved in an altercation and reportedly received injuries related to the assault.
The individual was transported to UVA Hospital for treatment. The roadway is shut down while police investigate the scene.
