The Pleasanton Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident involving a juvenile. PPD reports that its officers responded to a report of a car crash around 2:55 p.m. on September 2, 2024.

Multiple individuals were reportedly seen fleeing the scene. Following a search, PPD says its officers found the driver who was suffering from a stab wound to the torso. The juvenile had allegedly been involved in an altercation with another juvenile before the crash.

PPD says it recovered a knife from the area. The victim was treated at an area hospital and released. Authorities do not believe there is a wider threat to the public. No other details are available at this time.
