The Pittsburgh Police Department responded to a shooting earlier today. According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, Pittsburgh Police officers from Zone 5 responded to the intersection of Paulson Avenue and Dodge Way in Larimer following a three-round ShotSpotter alert.
At the scene, responding officers found a young male victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the shoulder, head, and neck area. The victim may be a juvenile. They were transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process evidence, including shell casings and video evidence from cameras in the area.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating the shooting.
